I cycled 20 miles off-road from Denton to Altrincham on Saturday but haven't done anything since then. My next two weeks are going to look like this:

Monday 1st = Rest Day
Tuesday 2nd = 4.5 mile run
Wednesday 3rd = Rest Day
Thursday 4th = 5 mile run
Friday 5th = Rest Day
Saturday 6th = 5 mile run
Sunday 7th = Cycle

Monday 8th = 5.5 mile run
Tuesday 9th = Rest Day
Wednesday 10th = 6 mile run
Thursday 11th = 4 mile run
Friday 12th = Rest Day
Saturday 13th = 2.75 mile run
Sunday 14th = Rest day

Did it in 31:21 averaging 7.54.

Mile 1 - 7:39
Mile 2 - 8:06
Mile 3 - 8:22 (steep uphill)
Mile 4 - 7:37 (extrapolated)

Was trying to concentrate on form rather than speed to try and change my running technique because of my bad back, so felt like I had something left in the tank in the last mile.

Coming along fairly nicely - I'd like to be breaking 30 mins for this run in 3 weeks.

Didn't get chance to run last night as it was pissing it down then we had people round.

Just did this run in 30:19 so looking like I can beat 30 soon. It was a lot muddier this time round so that could have been worth 10-15s.

Feel crap now though!

I set out to do 4 mile but my 4 mile route was really boggy and I felt crap. Unsurprisingly I felt like I'd just come off a marathon drinking session in Belgium, drinking white hot Belgian beer! The first run is always the hardest so glad to get that one out of the way.

My best time for that route is 17:46 in October 2006 so I'm some way off that at the moment. Sad

Did this same route on Thursday in 19:57 but felt a bit rubbish

I did this run in 29:42 today and didn't hammer it on the last mile so pretty pleased with that. My back's hurting now though which isn't so good.

Oh yeah, I did 2 miles in 15:46 on Monday just to loosen my legs up.

I guess I'm the only one coming on here nowadays then......
