Tony's Training Diary

I am not going to officially get a training plan till after my tri as I am just hoping to fit in as much as possible so I don't die on the 7th.

My run times seem to be quite a bit behind yours but I have got a few runs in:
4 mile run last tue (19th Aug) Done at approx 10 min/mile
9 mile run last Fri (22nd Aug) - This left me barely able to run for 2 days as the last time I ran further than 4 miles was about 4 months ago when I ran 8 miles with Steve!!! Done at approx 10 min/mile
Sprints of 1 mile warm up then 4 x 600m with 400m recovery then 1.5 mile recovery and run back to work.
And I am cycling to work each day so am doing 12 miles a day on my bike.
Also did some swimming including 1500m open water swim in 30:43 so am now aiming for as close to 25 mins as possible on race day in the swim then just hoping to finish the rest of it. (I put my swim time on because it is the only part that is not painfully slow)

Got fat measuring scales and I am apparently Obese (15 stone 6 at 5'10" is a BMI of about 30.5) and about 3 tenths fat (29%), so think there is some work to be done there!!!!

Am planning a 40Km ride with Steve on Wed and another open water swim on Thu.
